My dryer just started squeaking last night after I turned it on for a cycle. It squeaks the entire time it is on. I unloaded the clothes, turned it back on, and it continues to squeak. If I open the door, and spin it by hand, it produces the same squeaking. Any idea on what i should try replacing to fix it? And should I stop using the dryer until I replace some parts? I don't want to make something worse.

Thanks!

Hi.

Most likely you nave the worn out rear bearing.

Lift the top, remove the front panel and while you are there check the front slide bearing pads.

Remove the drum and check the rear bearing.

Replace if needed.

The rear bearing Part number: AP2619300
Part number: AP2619300

The slide bearing Part number: AP3206716
Part number: AP3206716

The slide bearing green Part number: AP3206948
Part number: AP3206948

Good luck. Post the results.

Simon.
