My door lock light will not go on when shutting the door. I believe it is the door lock assembly Part Number: AP4455026 . The washer is three and a half years old and this will be the second time I have had to replace the assembly. At roughly $75.00 after tax and shipping is this something I can take up with Frigidaire/Electrolux to see if they will do anything about if its after the warranty? Or do I just need to never buy their brands again? Thank you.

Hi.

The part number is correct. Before ordering it, check the striker first.

Thank you.

Simon.

The striker is intact. Could it be a loose assembly, that if tightened would enable the striker to connect and make it work? Just trying to check before i dig into it. Thanks again.

Hi.

Tighten all mounting crews, but don't overdo. There is nothing to tighten at the lock assembly beside the mounting screws.

Thank you.

Simon.
