Hello again, I just tested the thermistor. It was about 70F and the reading was 56.0 on the ohm meter. The meter was set on 200k. Thant was the only setting that read anything. Been a long while since I used one. Any Ideas?
Thanks Again Doug

Hi Doug, The thermistor looks good, but there is still a problem with the water heating. Based on your reports you did replace the heating element and the high limit thermostat. Now is the turn for the control board because this device controls the heating among other futures. - The control board Part number: AP3775998

Hi Gene, I oredered the control board and it is due to arrive today. The dishwasher started working properly yesterday without me doing anything else to it. Now I will not know what the problem was. I can hold on to the new part and wait a while. What do you think?
Thanks Doug

Hi Gene, whatever made the washer work for one day stopped so I replaced the control panel and that appears to have done the job. I hve about 160.00 invested in parts, but that is much cheaper than buying a new dishwasher or calling in a repair company.
Many thanks to you and Appliance Parts Pros. All of the other sites I looked at were significantly more exspensive and did not offer the professional advice.
Thanks Doug

Hi gene, the dishwasher worked great for two days. I started it last night and woke up to clean dry dishes. Tried to use it again this evening and there is nothing. No lights at all. I tried all the reset sequences that I know with no results at all. The house breaker did not trip. Any ideas?
Thanks Doug

Hi Doug, Check for continuity the thermal fuse which should be attached to the control board frame. If it is open, it could happen if it was improperly reinstalled from the old control board, the water inside the dishwasher was too hot or just because of its age. - The thermal fuse Part number: AP3178588

Hi gene, Thanks for hanging in there. I can't get any current through the fuse so I suppose it is bad. Did any of the parts I replaced cause higher water temperatures? I know that some sites had an element that they claimed made hotter water.
Thanks Doug

I don't think so. Make sure the thermal fuse is mounted properly and it's installed in accordance with the installation instructions.
