I have replaced the Thermal cutoff and fuse in the heater sleeve ant the push to start button. When you hold the button in the dryer makes a vibrating sound for a second or two before starting. The heater lights up and it runs quietly and normaly until you release the start button.

Most likely the problem with your dryer is a bad centrifugal switch on the motor. The manufacturer did not sell this part separate and the whole motor has to be replaced.

Gene, Thank you for your answer. One more question, how do you get the fan off the motor shaft?

Thanks, Bob

The blower wheel is screwed on the motor shaft and has to be moved CCW to unscrew it.
In order to remove the blower wheel you need a 1/2" socket wrench driver.
Pretty often it breaks when you try to remove it. If it happened, you need to buy a new one.

I had the same problem with my dryer. Checked all the diagnostics that came with the dryer and everything was O'K. Replaced the circuit board and the dryer still would not run without holding the button in. Just for the heck of it switched the motor relay with the heat relay and the dryer ran without holding the button in. The continuity test showed the relay to be in working order and it wasn't. {text removed by admin, reason: site policy} Hope this helps you out.
