Just got a brand new 28 cu ft frididaire FGHB2844 fridge with french doors and a bottom freezer.

Plugged it in, seemed to work fine. After an hour or 2 the freezer reported a temp of -18 Celcius, and fridge remained a room temperature of 20C. After calling frigidaire, they said to wait 24h and see if it starts to get better. The next morning, the fridge went down to 14C (still nowhere near the targer 3C), and even at night its still 14C.

I didn't feel any air blowing into the fridge and have a feeling something is blocking the dampers or the fan is bad. I didn't see any obvious obstruction such as new packing material blocking the vents. The fridge is also too new to have any frost buildup.

Any thoughts? This 365lb monster fridge took the delivery guys an hour to get in the door and up half a flight of stairs, so I'd rather have it fixed than replaced.

I have a feeling the damper is stuck. Any way I can test this? I have no clue where the damper is. But I do know where the air is supposed to come in from the freezer.

Just a follow up. The warranty repair guy came out today. Apparently the manufacturer crossed a couple of wires related to the control of the fridge damper opening/closing. I thought this stuff was done by machine, but apparently someone somewhere screwed up, and they never tested the damper functionality before it left the factory.

Apparently the wires in the 9 pin connectors had a different layout in one than in the other, he swapped 2 wires around in the connector and now it works fine.

Note, just in case someone things it may have been tampered with at the store or something, this was a special order, the fridge came straight from Frigidaire to Lowes where I purchased it, then to me the next day after it arrived in the store. The fridge had a stamp saying it was manufactured in 03-2012. It is still 03-2012, meaning it was manufactured within the last few weeks.
