after a power issue in my home, the codes E-1 and F-1 displays on the control panel. I had to reset everything but even though the oven will turn on, neither heating element will heat and it just sounds like the fan is blowing. The off/cancel button will no longer beep when pressed even though I press it, sometimes the oven still sounds like it is running. How do I fix this and how do I take off the control panel?

Tmlscm,
The F1E1 error code indicates an issue in the control board
Part number: AP4982698
Part number: AP4982698
it was possibly damaged by the voltage spike.
Here's the basic information on removing the control panel and accessing the control board.
1. Disconnect the electrical power to the double oven.
2. Open the lower oven door.
3. Remove the bottom screw from each of the two side trim pieces.
4. To remove the side trim, pull the bottom out approximately 2˝, and slide the top down to free it from the control panel.
5. Remove the screws from the oven control panel.
6. To remove the oven control panel, pull it out at the bottom, and lift and unhook it from the oven cabinet support at the top.
7. Disconnect the wire connectors from the control board and set the panel face down on a padded surface to protect the finish.
8. To remove the oven control/display boards:
a) Remove the mounting screws.
b) Lift the ends of the locking arm and disconnect the ribbon cable from its connector. NOTE: The control and display boards are designed to be replaced as an assembly.
When you're ready to reinstall the control board, take some rubbing alcohol, and clean the end of the touchpad ribbon and let it dry off before you plug it back into the control board connector.

Thanks and Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Joe, your answer was very helpful. I will be ordering the part you suggested from your company. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks a bunch!
