I need help.
I'm unable to find the circuit board/microcomputer anywhere locally or online for my Whirlpool Gold oven. Basically the problem started yesterday. We placed a large piece of meat into the oven to cook by the timer.
Went to open the oven and the door was LOCKED. Turned off the circuit breaker to the oven. After many attempts we were able to get the door unlocked to get the meat out. However it was ruined.
We thought we may be safe by turning the circuit breaker back on. Minutes later the oven at 350 along with fan was on again without being turned on. I need help trying to fix this problem. We currently do not have the funds to replace the entire setup. I hope someone will be able to point me in the right direction.
Thank you!

Does sound like the control board is toast.
There are companies out there that specialize in repairing control boards etc. Just Google "appliance timer repair"
With luck someone else will jump in with a recommendation. |
