The plastic hinges on the ice dispenser door have broken off. I am seeing a repair kit 8201756 Ice Dispenser Repair Kit that appears to be what I need to try and fix this, but I cannot find anywhere that can give me confirmation that this repair kit actually is compatible with my IS25AGXRQ01 refrigerator. It just says "is compatible with some".
Don't really want to waste the money buying an incompatible part. Can anyone point me to a compatibility chart and/or confirm that this part is compatible?
Thanks much

Hello. The listing I show for the repair of a unit that the hinge pin "ears" have broken off is [AP3872692]. When it lists for "some" models, it's referring to the units that have these type "ears" which break off. I've used this kit on multiple models and it has never failed to correct the issue. Fair warning: The aluminum piece which has the replacement "ears" on it is applied with super sticky double sided tape. Before you remove the paper backing off of the tape, fit the part into it's installed position a couple of times. You need to practice getting it into position without touching the tape side to anything until it's where it needs to be. This super sticky tape will peel off if it sticks in the wrong place and you have to "unstick" it to correct it's placement, so practice first. Good luck!

Hello. The kit should have come with an instruction sheet. I do know from experience that the kit includes a new spring so one of the springs are excess. If I understand what you mean by the black tubular thing, it is used to slow the ice door closure. It is included in case the old one is allowing the ice door to "slam" shut. I hope this was useful. Let me know if I can assist you further and have a great day!
