Okay. So, my 9 year old daughter fell onto the open door of my dishwasher, yanking it out from underneath the countertop. Ever since then, it's been hit or miss. Mostly miss. If I start a cycle, sometimes it will work, sometimes not, and when it does work, it stops working right before the dry cycle. When it does not work, the display countdown numbers flicker on the display and then it sounds like it's trying to start a cycle, but then makes a click sound. It trys over and over again until I give up and turn it off. Sometimes I can get it to drain, sometimes not. So I broke down and called JennAir. The repair guy says its the very expensive power supply board, but my gut says it has more to do with the door, since my 70 pound child landed on it, and the problems began. The wires that go from under the unit into the door are completely intact.... what else can I check? I noticed another post on the same model sounding like the very same problem, but I didn't understand the answer... it said to check the door latch.... where is that and what exactly am I looking for?

When you shut the door and it latches it makes a switch which allows the dishwasher to start it's cycle. You can usually make the switch manually with the door open to watch the operation of the dishwasher. Try that when it gets to the cycle you have trouble with. Since the switch is made when the cycle starts I wouldn't think that's the trouble. Here is your door latch assembly.

Okay. I did the manual switch thing. Even with the door open and the switch engaged, the dishwasher continues to click away and won't work. Is there anything left other than the control board?

The repair guy said the "reverser" wasn't working.... any thoughts?
