motor has a burning smell coming from it. motor spins free. is it possibly the capacitor? and how do i check it?

Give model # and what it is, washer or dryer.

the make is whirlpool washer and the model # is LSL9244EQ0

Dont know why i havce burning smell, i just replced the coupler
