WHIRLPOOL WASHER LSN1000LWO
It wouldn't spin fast enough to get the clothes dry enough to put into the dryer when the load was done. I was resorting to turning the timer to an extra spin cycle (at the point on the timer when it would just spin out, not add more water)
Could sometimes grab the drum and turn it counterclockwise until it would "click" inside and then would spin out OK. Now the drum can turn backwards with but not frontwards even in wash mode the drum is not turning just the agitator. The drum seems like as soon as it turns forward it has the brakes on, so it cannot turn.
I disassembled the motor and transmission to get at the clutch assembly. It looks fine there is still "meat" on the pads on the clutch ring. I can see the brakes on the Brake and Drive tube and they have plenty of "meat" as well. By the way there is some transmission fluid drops on the bolts that hold the gearcase the the other assembly. Could it just be the clutch or do I need to disassemble it further to look at the drive block, or with the oil/fluid leakage is it more than likely the Gearcase/Tranny??
