Just looking for some insight as to what you all might think the solution would be for my Kitchen Aid.

All functions on the unit operate well with the exception being that the ice dispenser does not "feed" the ice out of the door. When I put a cup against the sensor all that you hear is a clicking noise.

Does the motor need to be replaced?

Where would you start?

Thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike. I would try this. Open the door and remove the crusher bin. Tape the door switch down and hold the motor coupler while hitting the ice dispense button. My suspicion is that either the motor coupler [AP4363997] or the threaded motor [AP2991305] shaft has stripped. Hope this was helpful!
