Our fridge is not cooling and there is snow on the coils in the freezer. What I've read is the problem is the defrost system. We don't know how to get to the defrost timer, defrost thermostat, or the defrost heater in our unit. What do you suggest.

Depends how much frost is on the coils. During normal operation it is normal for there to be some frost on the coils.

It's frozen up more than it is supposed to be.
