Ice dispenser chute door not closing completely, air gets through the chute doorcreating frost on the ice and in the ice bin, as well as water leaking out the chute door and onto the floor. Also large chunks of ice have formed on the underside if the ice bin. Question - what needs to be replaced? Just the chute door replacement kit (part # AP3595356 ), or the electrical controller (part # AP4358734 - for a mere $212.70) as well? Thannks.

Hi. Most likely you should be OK after replacing the ice door kit. You must completely deice the area before installing the new parts.

Makes sense. I'm expecting the real problem to be the spring, but don;t wanna get half way through the repair and find I need more parts. Many thanks! Originally Posted by: AquraRoma Hi.
