This problem was that it would work off and on. It seemed to help if I moved the unit. Now it does not work at all. I have disconnected the line from the valve and it is clear. The ice maker is still working. Is there something else that could cause it besides the water valve? Dean

Hi Dean
The first thing I would check if the power is coming to the water valve when you push the lever on the door.
If there is no power then the problem is a bad switch in the water dispenser on the door.
If there is power then the problem is a bad water valve.
Good luck. Gene.

When I had this apart and put it back together, I put vaseline on the electric connections and then in about two days later the unit started working and has been working since. Now I don't know if I should replace the water valve. I think I'll wait a while and see if it keeps working. Dean
