Picked this up at Home Depot almost exactly 2 years ago. What's happening is that when I close the door and press start to begin the cycle, the "dry" light is illuminated as opposed the the "wash" light. Although it is clearing beginning its cycle and appears to clean the dishes and be working correctly. Also, the "steam clean" feature button light will not go out no matter what.

I called Maytag and they refuse to help me with anything. I did notice that the control panel for this unit seems to be back ordered and, from being in the automotive business a while, that is usually a good indication of the failed part.

I don't mind taking the front door apart and replacing this part but, because I am paying for it, I want to make sure I have a reasonable diagnosis or at the minimum, a really good opinion from someone who know what they are talking about.

Anyhow, to recap, like I said, the unit appears to wash dishes and successfully complete its cycle however the control panel seems confused. Also, I have tried disconnecting power for some time to no availability.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Moveright!

I'm wondering if you found the solution for your problem with the dishwasher. What was wrong? What were your troubleshooting steps?

Thanks,
Kola Balabo
