The unit failed to drain last time it was used. Didn't find out until the following day. Coaxed it with the "Cancel/Drain" button and it drained. When loaded the next day, and attempted to start it, the LOCK ON LED was flashing and all the other keys were locked. I attempted to remove the LOCK ON but as I said all the keys were locked. The CANCEL DRAIN LED also would flash if pushed. But that's all I could do. I didn't find any codes in the users guide.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

The Model number is 665

Ser 15812990 FJ4511946

Also it doesn't appear that any of the 'keys' are mashed or stuck. They all appear to have kick back.

I think your full Model Number is 66515812990
It is made by Whirlpool

Here is the tech sheet
https://www.servicematters.com/docs/wiring/Tech%20Sheet%20-%208051291.pdf

Indicates that this is a shorted key in the keyboard error
This does not rule out that the control board is the problem.
I will try to find a wiring diagram for the keyboard so it can be tested with a meter

Hopefully someone else will jump in and add it

I'm going to pull the touchpad in anticipation of the diagram. If it IS only the touchpad, is the part available separately? I couldn't seem to find it.

Thanks for the help, denman!

I could not find the touchpad at AppliancePartsPros either.
You will probably have to call them to get a price and availability.

Now for the bad news I have been unable to find a keypad wiring diagram.
I think it is a matrix type (has diodes) so cannot help you on checking it.

You could try removing the ribbon cable from the control board and cleaning it's connector with some electronics cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush. Just be sure that all the solvent has evaporated before reconnecting. This is a bit of a long shot.

If the above does not work then you unfortunately are left with a gamble as to which part is gone as either the keypad or the control board could cause this problem.
My guess would be the keypad.

Just to add my 2 cents...

As denman said locked out controls indicates a stuck key(s). The solution is to replace the console which comes with the keypad. If you need the right part number for the console then post the color of it.

The Console touch pad is WHITE. I'm going to pull the console tomorrow morning and check the ribbon cable connection as well. What about cooling the touch pad in the freezer then exerting a vacuum on each "touch key" and see if that can't un-stick something; a little shock and awe :-)

I assume the touchpad is a sealed unit with elastomeric/membrane type keys.

Very interesting! Let us know how it will work.

I found that Whirlpool (the manufacturer of your dishwasher) does not make white consoles for this model any more. Only black consoles are still available.

- The part number for the black console is AP3097085
