Have Maytag gas dryer purchased approximately 1984. Recently it started to squeak loudly when first started. Approximately minute after I hear gas burners ignite, the squeaking starts to diminish. Any idea what parts are need to fix this?

Very likely the problem is a bad tumbler front bearings, rear drum support rollers and/or idler pulley. You have to remove the front panel, the tumbler front and the drum to determine exactly which parts to replace. Post the results and we will help you to get the right parts. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for MAYTAG DG510 DRYER- GAS | AppliancePartsPros.comGene.
