Thie Hotpoint has been in storage for awhile. I cleaned the coils and plugged it in. The condenser fan runs and I set it at the middle controls as the instructions indicated. However, after 24 hours of running, the freezer nor the refrigerator is cold. In fact, it is warmer than when started. Where do I begin to troubleshoot?

In what position the refrigerator was in storage and during the delivery to your place? Did you plug it in right away?

The refrig was stored and transported in the upright position and rolled into its present location, my basement. I cleaned the inside and let it dry before plugging it in. I just realized that I did not take the back off and clean the coils yet. Perhaps it is just too covered in dust to cool. However, the coils on the bottom part were not too dirty. Do I need to start with the coils? Thanks for caring!

Remove the rear cover and check if the compressor and the fan next to the compressor are running. Post the results.

Condenser and compressor are running. Slight cooling in the freezer part. Will check again in morning. All settings on medium.

Condenser fan and compressor still running after 8 hours. Freezer has a very slight cooling to it...refrigerator, no. Freon low or out? If so, is this an easy fix?

Looks like the problem is a restriction in the sealed system. This job has to be done by a certified technician only and can be very costly ($250-$400). May be it's time for a new refrigerator?
