  • The washer fills, washes for a few minutes then cuts out. Their is a horrible buzzing (grinding/racheting?) noise coming from the control knob. Tried a different wash cycle, which again works for a short while before stopping. Don't want to replace the controller for $100 if thats not what it is.:confused:[/LIST]

    Thanks for the help, the link was great I managered to follow the steps without any bother. My only problem is that the coupler is in good working condition. What do I try next??:confused:

    i think your timer has striped some gears. time foe a new timer.

    New timer $100, does this sound right?
    If it's not the timer will I be able to return it?

    New timer is $93.38 and is #9 on this diagram. Does sound like the timer is bad.
