I have a Whirlpool gew9260PW0 electric dryer that whenever I try to start it the sensing light turns on and the dryer will not start. I have checked the thermal fuses, belt brake switch and the themal transistor. All test good...

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for GEW9269PW0 models | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is a manual. It is for a GEW9200 and I do not know what if any changes where made when they went to a 9269.
http://appliancedigest.com/index.php?/files/file/325-l-69-whirlpool-duet-gas-electric-dryers-service-manual/
You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer.

I cannot say if a bad thermistor would stop the unit but the manual does give it's specs.
Also see Page 6-1 for the diagnostics.

Attach one meter lead to the neutral on the plug. The other lead should go to P1-4 on the control board.
Use a low meter scale.
With the door open resistance should be infinite.
With the door closed resistance should be around 1 to 2 ohms.

lso check the P1-3 goes to 0 ohms when the door closes.

How do you get fault codes? I do the button test and it does not come up with any code.

When in the diagnostics mode and I press start the display shows 08 and the motor won't start. Does this mean anything?

I cannot find that code.

Check the continuity of the motor circuit back to the board.
If OK then the board is probably toast.
