Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/10/2012(UTC) Posts: 1		White-Westinghouse LA800M washer After my washer finishes filling it starts making a loud humming sound and won't agitate, drain, or spin. I've tried every cycle on the knob with the same results. I can turn the agitator by hand. I drained the water by hand, then switched it to SPIN. It actually started to drain and also started making a lot of noise. The lid was closed so I couldn't tell if the agitator was moving. I noticed a little smoke coming from the lid switch so I shut everything off quickly. My first thought was that the motor was locked up, but if it drained does that mean the motor still works?
