Hi, washer intermittently pauses during the wash cycle. I cleaned the strainer screen up front. Not much in there, did find my missing Klein 1/4" combo end wrench!! Looking for some direction in troubleshooting, or a service guide (PDF). A couple years ago I had to replace the magnetic drive pump motor due to crap plugging the strainer screen. So now I clean that regularly.
I am comfortable troubleshooting all voltage levels or mech systems, just not real familiar with washing machines, and the quirks of front loaders. Wife is getting tired of hitting the pause button to restart. Thanks, e-mail is in profile.

OK, update, Problem has been ongoing for the last couple weeks. I pulled diagnostic codes E42 (instantaneous over current) and E48 (Drive motor open). Ran tests T-10, T-11, T-14. All passed with flying colors. I pulled the inverter out and checked all connections, all looks good. I ohmed motor, 6 ohms all phases (phases-phase). Motor windings visually look good, not discolered, all phases bright copper color. I pulled control board out and checked all connector pins, no lose connections, nothing visually out of line on board.
Re-assembled and ran fine for about a week, then started going into pause mode again. pulled only one code: E-48 ( drive motor open). ohmed motor again and 6 ohms all three phases.
I am leaning towards a control board problem as all tests of motor and inverter show them to be fine. Another problem we have noticed is the display timer is not accurate, it will show 1 minute left, but actually takes 5-7 minutes before done. This is not really a "problem", but may be indicative of a control board issue?
I am not real thrilled about dropping $240 for a control board if I am incorrect.
Sid, you mentioned replacing control board on spec, I assume with your experience that you have seen this issue before? Is this a fairly common problem with this Model? Or am I missing something?

This is a very troubled model, and the control unit frequently goes out.
If you buy the replacement part from this site and it does not fix the problem you can return it (about the only site that lets you return electronic parts). See the returns policy for details and conditions.

Once my wife gets tired of resetting the pause button, I will have to order control board I guess. Thanks for the help.
