I recieved the F24 error code (Water Temp switch). From research online and calling whirlpool, it was assumed that I needed a new control panel. I was told by whirlpool that this "switch" was not seperate, but was in the "mother board". I ordered one, installed it, got two wash cycles to run, and the F24 code is back. Is their a seperate switch? What does the switch labeled AP4340286 do?

Ok, Whirlpool is right, but that error code probably refers to the water temp sensor, this part here

Part number: AP3128829
Part number: AP3128829

The part you referenced is the water level switch and is probably not a part of your problem.

Inside the lower service panel should be tech notes that will help you. Sorry Whirlpool may have steered you wrong.
