I know this is a repair forum, but what advice can you guys give regarding what brand and model of washer and dryers are best. I have replaced several parts in my 9 year old dryer and im thinking of just buying a new one. Can you guys suggest brands and models that you proffesionals know will last. Thank you for your help.

They all have there share of problems now days. Gone are the days that you can buy a washer and not have a problem with it for the next 10-15 years.

I would not buy fancy the more stuff it has the more things to break in the future. Try to get a unit without electronics in it a old fashioned mechanical timer is still the best. These are getting hard to find. Also a unit with rear drum support wheels is more reliable in the long term than a unit that uses a center drum support bearing. Also easier to repair in the future. Here is a link to who makes what. http://www.appliance411.com/purchase/make.shtml |
