My Kenmore Elite dryer does not heat. I was told it could be a fuse in the back of the dryer. I've looked but can't find anything resembling a fuse. Any suggestions?

The fuse you where referred to is behind the lower access panel on the front of your machine. To the left and tucked inconveniently behind the blower housing is the thermal fuse (AP3133489) and to the right attached to the burner box is the high limit thermostat (AP3084674). Start by removing power to the dryer. Now you can temporarily bypass each of them by removing the connectors and sliding the ends together. Do this one at a time making sure they do not touch any metal and then give the unit a try to see which one has failed. Only operate the unit in this condition for testing and not for actual operation.

Thanks for your help. It was the fuse. I was looking for something much larger in a different location.

Does this fuse kill the dryers power completely? Mine is dead now and I replaced that fuse about a year ago for the same problem.. But now I cant remember if it stopped all power or just the heater element..

EDIT:
I found my problem.. the load-select button "HEAVY" was not making contact.. This contact-cleaner cured that on ALL of the buttons and they now act like NEW again.. No problems!
