My GE profile gas range igniters are trying to ignite even when nothing is turned on. There is a module under the stovetop with wires to each individual burner and power from the wall. The module is white plastic. 4 black wires go to the burners. 2 white wires go to power. Is this module shorting or something? The igniters keep firing even when the knobs are off.

Puzzled,

Yes, it is a spark module, that is the problem. Without the model #, I cannot tell you where it might be. It could be behind the control panel. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
