My oven takes forever to heat up, and will not maintain temp, and sometimes doesnt even begin to heat up. I have read all prior posts about the ignitor issue.
my only issue that doesnt make sense is that at times the ignitor glows but the oven wont start to warm up, the only way i have figured out to get it warming up is to turn on one of the stove top burners, within 5 secs i hear the gas being released into the oven and the flame starts.

Hello reppoc. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the igniter is weak. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low or high, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter [AP3873826]. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros...continuity-ohmmeter.html
