My dryer has not been completely drying the clothes lately, so I read it could be clogged vent or replace the thermistor, which I did now I get error code E1 after a few minutes of drying, could it be the new part is bad?

The E1 fault is an open thermistor so either the new one is bad, or the wiring from the board is open somewhere along the way. As for your drying issue, a dirty or restricted vent is the most likely reason for poor drying. But if it is cleaned, try setting the dryness level to More Dry and see if that works better. Also, just inside the door on the right front below the lint screen are two metal bars. These are the moisture sensors and they can become less effective over time due to fabric softeners and detergents coating their surfaces. Take a scotch brite type sponge and clean them off. This will give them better contact with your clothes. Lint screens can also become clogged with time resulting in similar airflow issues. Run yours under the faucet and make sure water doesn't pool on the screen surface. If it does, time to replace the screen. Hope this helps.
