Had to replace the orifice/venturi holder and nut for one of holders for my range. The threads had stripped. After I had reassembled everything, I turned each burner on for a few seconds to make sure everything was working properly. All appeared well. So this morning we actually cooked something on it for the first time and the flames on both of the small burners turned yellow, flamed up around and carboned up the pots. We also could not turn off the burner that I had replaced the holder on. I had to shut off the gas to the entire unit to shut it off. When I just tested the small burners again, it takes a few seconds for the flames to gradually get bigger and I can now turn off each of the individual burners using the knobs. Can someone point me to what I need to do to fix this?
Thanks.

No replies, but I'll post my fix anyway.
Got it fixed last night - thought I'd post the fix in case it might help someone else. Apparently there is a small ferrule on the gas lines that is a one time use deal or at least worked out that way in my case. Once the gas line was unscrewed from the holder, the ferrule would no longer seal the line, therefore causing my problem. I replaced the gas line and all was well. I compared the new gas line to the old and there definitely was a difference in the appearance of the ferrule on the new vs. the old.
