My top dishwasher arm spray was sitting on my plates broken :( so I ordered the new part (8193504). How do I install the new one? Which way does the spray face -smooth part on top or with little openings? I appreciate any assistance you can give. Thank you.

You have to remove the upper dish rack and the water feeding tube (#1 on the diagram). The arm goes with the little hole up and mounts with the pin included in the kit. Gene.

Hi Gene.
I've read a couple of your replies and I'm wondering if you could help me out. I have a kitchenaid dishwasher and I removed the lower spray arm to check for blockage. I've fixed my problem (I think) but now I can't get the sprayer arm re-installed. For whatever reason I can't get the sprayer arm to screw back on. Help??? Any ideas?

What is the complete model number of the dishwasher? Gene.

The trick to screwing on the sprayer arm is to carefully align the place where the thread on the pump catches onto the thread on the sprayer arm. Slowy twist the screw counter clockwise while lowering the sprayer arm slightly to help it catch. It may take a few tries, but that's how it works. Good Luck.
