When my icemaker refills, the water will sometimes not shut off and then floods the freezer and eventually floods the kitchen. This does not happen every time the icemaker refills. I ordered a new water valve from this website and replaced it and that did not solve the problem. Could this be an electrical problem? Please help.

There are two contacts inside the ice maker head which are responsible for water fill time. Looks like some time they got stuck closed. The best solution is to replace the ice maker.

- The part number for the ice maker is AP2984633
