This an appoximatley 12 cf unit with a top freezer. The freezer will not get cold enough, I don't have the exact temp, but it will freeze ice in an ice cube tray, but 3-4 times longer than other refridgerators and will not freeze ice cream. The setting is set at the coldest setting, the evaporator fan works good ( a common problem on this model), the compressor wil cylce for some period and shut off, then a wait and it cycles back on. It acts as it is working correctly but possibly it is not sensing the temperature correctly.

Any adjustments or recommendations for one of you experts?

Thanks,

-Kevin

All you experts. Please Help. One round of ice takes about 8-10 hours to freeze. Point me in the right direction.

Thanks very much.

Hi,

Have you check the frost pattern on the evaporator?

Thanks for your reply Appliance Junk.

I checked the frost pattern. It is on the right 1/2 of the front coil. No frost on the back coil. Based on this information, do you have any recomendations?

Thanks,

Does not sound like you have a even frost pattern as you should have.
Could be a problem with the sealed system, such as the compressor, low on refrigerant or a restriction in the capillary tube.

Could you post a photo of the frost on the evaporator.

Hi,

Attached is a picture of the Frost pattern, The frost is in the front to the right on only 1/2 to 2/3's of one of two coils. No frost on the back coil. This could be one of the problems you mentioned Appliance Junk. But the compressor still does not go on all the time. But I have no ideal what and where any sensors are that turns it on.

Thanks so much again for your help (or any other forum members). Sorry for the delay. Other plumbing issues have taken over my time (slab leaks, this is a Florida thing).

you must hire Rentals with freezer because in summer time it is difficult to live without freezer and good and reputed rentals have all these facilities.
