5-6 year old Maytag dishwasher has developed a small crack @ bottom of tub, resulting in a leak. Is there a way to repair without replacing? Perhaps and epoxy that will withstand the heat of the dry cycle & is safe (non-toxic) for use around dishes?

Quote:Is there a way to repair without replacing? No there is nothing that will last the test of time. The correct way to repair your dishwasher would be to replace the tub. You may want to start looking for a new dishwasher.

Either pull out your operators manual or go to the Maytag site and download it. I think your tub has a 20 year warranty.
Since it would cost them a fortune to replace the tub, they should replace the unit. |

Yeah, you're right. I just looked it up over the weekend. That was great news - I was afraid it might only be a 5 yr warranty (dishwasher is 6 yrs old). Thanks for the tip!
