washing machine will agitate but won't discharge or spin on any setting. my wife noticed yesterday that there was a loud grinding sound on the spin cycle ,clothes were wet. now the water won't even discharge. Can anyone help ? Thanks

lid switch wasn't being fully pushed in to engage , that's ok now. When the machine cyles to discharge or spin the tub is struggling to turn , only goes about 1/8 turn ,and there is a grinding sound . Thanks

Sounds like the motor coupling (#13 on the break down diagram) has gone bad. You can find the complete instructions attached to this post. - The part number for the motor coupling is AP3963893Gene.
