My Maytag dryer is banging against the left side of the housing. It seems to be hitting from the same spot on the drum and making a loud noise. Any suggestions and appropriate diagrams would be greatly appreciated.

it is most likely the drum rollers. it would be best to replace the 2 drum rollers, and the idler pully, and the belt. do it all at one time. if you are looking for a service manual, go to the "maytag service library", and click on literature by model #, and put in your model. tom applianceeducator.com - parts

Also, look for loose baffle screws. Tighten them.

Thanks for the advice. I opened up the front panel by removing 4 screws and discovered a loose baffle screw. I tightened it up, re-assembled the front panel and I am back in business. E-Z fix, and I saved a lot of money!
