timer will not work and membrane switch fails to enter the following keys
1,4,7,"convect full meal". Could I have two problems at once ? The switch
and the control board. I have seen the error F2E3 twice. The oven works but when the error code displays F2E3 all buttons fail and does a lot of beeping for about five minutes ???? The problem is after a cleaning.

Fred,

What did you mean saying:"timer will not work"?

When we try to enter the time "set time" a beep is heard and the display goes blank with repeated beeps until the clock time comes back. This
is a new symptom since the last "oven clean" ,Prior it would display the
three dashes for timer but wouldn't allow a entry for the timer. It would
fail 99 out of a hundred times, but one would work fine ?????

Thanks: Fred

The membrane switch also fails to enter the 1,4 & 7 push buttons into the
oven set as well as the timer input. It does allow the clock to be set but
not the timer with times not needing 1,4,7..........

Fred,

The first failure suspect is the key pad which is a part of the control panel, but there is a small chance the control board is bad too. I would replace the control panel first.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid oven Model KEBS177DAL1

Gene, I replaced the console with the membrane switch assembly and this diid the trick. I am now able to set timer and clock along with the 1,4,7 "convect full meal" buttons , I can set the bake temp With the new switch.

The package came via FedEX and was in poor condition but no damage to the console. We will be very reluctant to use the "oven clean" in the future seeing I lost function every time we used the clean cycle. I have read many posts on the internet similar to mine

Thanks Fred.

You are welcome, Fred. I'm glad you were able to fix it.
