FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO SAY I JUST FOUND THIS FORUM AND I THINK ITS GREAT.

WOKE UP SAT. TO A MESS.ALL THE ICE IN THE ICEMAKER WAS MELTING.CHECKED TO MAKE SURE FRIGE WAS STILL ON AND IT WAS.EVERYTHING UNDERNEATH WAS CLEAN.PULLED BACK PANEL OFF INSIDE FREEZER,THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT OF FROST.BOTTOM OF UNIT IS VERY COLD STUFF IN BOTTOM DRAWERS WAS FROZEN.THERE IS NO AIR MOVEMENT IN FREEZER.EVAP FAN NOT BLOWING.I UNPLUGGED IT FOR 1 HR. PLUGGED IT BACK IN AND NEXT MORNING EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT.SEVERAL HRS LATER SAME PROBLEM.I THRID SPINNING EVAP FAN BY HAND IT MOVES FREELY JUST WILL NOT SPIN ON ITS OWN.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS

Replace the evaporator fan and you should be ok, Part Details - FRIGIDAIRE Evaporator motor kit, part number: 5304445861

Thanks for your help,after reading other posts on the forum thats what I thought it was.I will be ordering the part and I will let you know what happens

just got my new evap fan motor hooked it up and still does not come on.any suggestions

Ok finally had some time to ckeck out problem,yes the evap fan was bad but it turns out the adapt defrost control is also bad.
Removed the a.d.c. popped the cover on it and there are 2 big burn marks on it.I located the new part and will have it in a couple days
