Looking for some help! Recently my refrigerator/freezer quit allowing everything to thaw out( I lost all my venison from hunting season :-(). I have taken the covers off the back and the condensor fan runs the fan in the freezer runs. I have inspected the PC board and it doesn't show any signs of failure. I did "jump out" the compressor and it will turn on. Can anyone provide insight as to the possible cause or where to look for it. Or can someone provide what the input and outputs of the PC board are so I might check them. An electrical schematic would be helpful also if available.
Thanks! Jay

All I could say is it is based on 30 years of Appliance Service experience, and running, 8 to 10 service calls a day. Also, seeing your condition on a weekly basis. Which still does not mean I am totally right. But, by the Law of Averages, I have a great probability. Plus you saying that you jumped out the compressor, and it does run, confirms it. Icehouse, after thirty years in this business, sometimes you still have to prove yourself. It never ends. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Tom: I love when they come out of Trade school after seven months and they just find out there is a lot more to learn. I tell them I have been in this business since 1968, and am still learning every day.
