I just purchased rear bearing kit 5303281153 for my drier. While I have the drier apart what locations if any should I lubricate ie. motor bearing, belt guides?

A drop of oil on the motor bearings and the idler wheel will not hurt. Use 3 in one or sewing machine oil. Do not use WD40. Oil will collect lint so a drop or two max is all you want to use.
The front glides do not get lubricated just check them for wear. Check the motor bearings and idler wheel for slop. Check the drum seals and any internal seals in the air flow path. Check the belt for cracks.
Give the interior including the blower wheel a good cleaning. Also a good time to check/clean your vent system. |
