Hi,
I just replaced the control board in my GE Profile Arctica. I did so because the repairman who came out yesterday told me that was the problem. (Estimate to come back and replace it $500, found the control board for $100 and thought sure, I can figure this out.....)After I had replaced the control board the fridge and freezer started cooling again. I unplugged it again to completely replace the cover (yes I had initially attached the ground to a screw and had it fastened). After I tightened all the bolts I plugged it back in, saw a spark as I did so and now it won't work again. The control board has a black mark where the ground wire attaches (different placement than the black mark on the original control board). I am pretty sure that I have just blown another control board because of some beginner's mistake, any chance I am wrong?
