I cleaned them with the wrong type of cleaner and damage the plastic. I can't get the face plate off and am also looking for any instruction as to how to install them once I do get it open. Any help would be appreciated

Position the drip tray upside down under the ice & water dispenser control panel, and pry the bottom edge of the panel out at the two small slots with a large-bladed screwdriver. Remove the two hex-head screws from the switch subpanel and remove the panel. Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid refrigerator Model KSRG25FKSS05 Gene.
