james at appliance parts pro looked up my refrigerator and ordered overload relay kit # AP4009659, WPL 12002782 for me.
This kit differs from what was originally in the unit. The original PTC and overload were housed in white rectagular box that used a clip to attach it to the side of the compressor. Part of this box was also the case for all of the PTC start device parts. The replacement kit has the PTC seperate in its own case, from the overload with a large black plastic box to cover them also there is no mounting provision for this box on the side of the compressor as shown in the instruction sheet. On the side of the original white case next to where the smaller terminal tabs come out is the #1 that has a orange wire attached to it and next to the other larger terminal is the #4 that has a white wire attached to it. These two terminals are to the PTC that is built into this case. At the other end of the case is where the terminal for the overload passes through the case. It has a dark bluegreen wire attached. Can this kit be used with this refrigerator and if so which wires attach to which terminals and would these parts need to be attached to the compressor body? Both the old and new overload appear to be the same. Help on this would be appreciated.
see attached picture of original rectangular white box.

You will have trouble wiring up this device.
Although this is a superior device, I would send it back and get the AP5178110 device, a direct replacement. Just plug in the refrigerator wires in the socket in the white box, then plug in the run capacitor.
