Since I am man of the house and financially challenged, I have to fix it myself, so any help is greatly appreciated. My Kenmore 90 series dryer model # 110.60901 990 shuts off mid cycle, will only stay on for a few minutes then shuts off, clothes stay wet. Will start up again when you press start button, but keeps shutting off. What could be the problem, a part number and do it yourself repair video would be very helpful???

It can be your motor is failing, which will cause the built in shutoff to kick in, then when it cools a little bit the machine will come back on. Here is a link to a video library AppliancePartsPros's Channel - YouTubeand you can find the video that will allow you to open it up and see if there is anything obvious.

Thank you, but could it possibly be something else wrong with it, like maybe some sort of sensor or something, are there any other things I could try fixing that might work, I can't afford to fix a motor, so lets pray that it's not the motor???

Because your machine works, the problem must be electrical and not mechanical, and because the problem is intermittented it is very difficult to diagnose.
You can check the door switch by taking off the leads to the switch and taping them together and then running the machine. It may be the door switch is heating up and switching off. You could also try replacing the push to start switch to see if that is the problem. The fuses in these machines that would shut down are non resettable, so that is not the problem.
Sorry not to be more specific but that is the nature of your problem. At the end of the day I feel it is likely the motor, but check out those other things.

The motors have to be replaced, and given the cost and difficulty in getting it out the best solution might be to get a good used machine. Dryers last a long time, (you may be the victim of bad luck) and I have no reluctance to recommend a good used machine. In our area you can get one for between $100-140.00.
