We have a Whirlpoool Gold Accubake oven and a few weeks ago when the oven was on we heard a "pop" kind of sound - but it seemed to still work.

Ever since then we've realized the oven doesn't work properly and we've figured out that only the broiler element seems to be working.

The oven works fine when broiling, and only seems to heat from the top when the "bake" function is on, regardless of the temperature.

We've checked the calibration setting, which was at 0. We've even tried to set it up higher and set the temperature even higher then what the recipe calls for.

Thank goodness it's slow cooker season. Any help you can give us would be greatly appreaciated as to what might be wrong and/or how to replace it and how much it might cost.

I am located in Toronto, Ontario.

Thanks,
Mark

This product has a hidden bake element. Another great idea by a engineer. Click on you model #, and take a look at the picture #4. The bottom section will come out to get to it. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Thanks for the info. We ordered the element and are waiting for it to arrive, but now the oven is throwing up the code F3. Any idea what that could be?

F3 is a senser code. But in the element first. If the code comes up after that, you need to replace the sensor. If you open the oven door, up top, you will see a thin wire held in by 2 screws, that is the sensor. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
