I have had this dishwasher for about the last 8 years and have not had any problems before. Yesterday While in middle of doing a wash load, The machine just stopped working. There is water in the bottom of the tub that did not drain. There appears to be no power to the unit. Nothing lights up. Checked the circuit breakers they seem fine. Any ideas?

A Model Number may help
Often this is a door switch not closing properly Many units have a fuse up by the control panel, the doors inner panel must be removed to see it. |

Had this same problem about a year ago. The wiring harness came installed with cheap little wire nuts from the manufacturer. Unplug the unit (pull it out from the wall if you need to), or cut power at the breaker box. Then remove the kick plate (black metal panel along the floor with a screw on either side). You'll see a black metal box on the right with a power cord running into it. Remove the cover of the plate, and you may see some signs of a spark or short on one or two of the wires. Strip them to clean copper and re-attach with wirenuts, and then tape with electrical tape. Plug it back in and see if it lights up. If it does, then you're in business.
