The other day there was a bunch of water that ran out of my ice maker for no reason. I wondered if the solenoid stuck open or there was some water that got into the control board. Either way I have no ice being made AUTO. I can manually fill the tray and a little later...bingo I have ice but it won't refill. I have no lights on the diagnostic LED. I cant seem to get the solenoid to activate with 110vac that I supply manually, And I have a spare solenoid hooked up that I am trying to see if it will activate after an ice cycle is complete. Any tips, hints or help as to whether its the board or solenoid? or both?

if you said that the icemaker worked when you poored water in it, you will most likely have a water issue. look at the icemaker, and you will see a black water tube, that drops the water into the icemaker. squeeze it. if it is hard it is frozen. defrost it with the blow dryer, and replace the water valve. tom applianceeducator.com - parts
