Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 11/8/2011(UTC) Posts: 1		My kenmore washing machine stops just before the rinse cycle on all three washing options. I can hear a humming noise coming from behind the control knob. If I turn the control know off and on long enough I can eventually get it to work. Any ideas on the solution would be appreciated.

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		Well normally your symptons are those of a failed lid switch, but it should not come on after shutting it off if that were the problem. So check out the lid switch just to eliminate it as a problem, and if that is not hte problem try changing out the timer.
