Jenn-Air Dual Fuel Double Oven Range (model #JDR8895AAS) - lost power over a week ago in the early East Coast snow storm. My gas stovetop works, but the double ovens and control panel - nothing. This happened once before and the control panel came back after 72 hours magically (Sabboth Mode). This time, I waited 72 hours after power came back...nothing. Then I flipped the circuit breaker (even though it appeared ok), waited 72 hours...nothing. It's hard-wired, so I can't unplug it. I've tried pressing the clock pad for 3 seconds, but I feel nothing, and nothing happens. Help me please!!!

Here are your parts Replacement parts for JENN-AIR JDR8895AAS FREESTANDING-DOUBLE OVEN-DUAL FUEL | AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet/wiring diagram. It sounds like your control board is shot. I am assuming that the control board is totally dead (no lights or display). Also does the oven cavity light work? It probably does not as it looks to be controlled by the control board. Try the different diags etc. in the tech sheet. This is a long shot. I would check the power to the unit. It looks like L1 to Neutral (120 volts) is the supply voltage to the board. Also looks like the igniters run off of (L2 to Neutral). So it is possible that the gas burners will work even if you do not have L1 to Neutral voltage. Might be worth flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. The breaker should be a double (ganged) one side for L2 and the other for L1. Here is the board Part number: AP4397057
If you click on the picture a new page will open with m,ore info. It has a Q&A section and one question in there asks about a dead control. The answer seems to indicate that it could be an open hi-limit switch (the one that connects to P5 on the control board). I do not think this kills power to the control board but am not 100% sure so it would be worthwhile to check it. |
