I have a 1986 Kitchenaid Superba Oven , KSO145E. Yesterday, the oven started making a constant sound, as if the fan was working non-stop, but louder. However, the last time the oven was used was 3 days ago. I can't find info anywhere online on what the problem could be(a faulty fan/blower)? I am trying to determine approximately what would be involved to fix the problem and whether the parts would be available (they are not through whirlpool/kitchenaid).

Optional Information:
Make: Kitchenaid
Model: KSGO145E

Already Tried:
Turning off electrical supply stops the sound

Gene, Thanks for the reply. The model is KGSO145E (could be listed as whirlpool). The link on this website is here: Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KGSO145E | AppliancePartsPros.com

My husband opened the control panel, and the sound seems to come off the rotating disk behind the timer. It never shuts off. I looked up and the entire clock would run us $198 (analog).

Does anyone know if we can fix it at a lower cost, or replace it with a digital clock? Also, would changing the clock do a trick, or do we need to replace something else as well?

Thank you.

Where did you find this clock? It has been discontinued long time ago. Actually this oven is so old that almost all parts are no longer available.

If your husband is sure that the noise is coming from the clock then the only solution is to disconnect the clock completely, but you would not be able to use self clean and/or timed bake.

Would replacing this part work? This is the one that looks like it always rotating:

If yes, any idea where I can purchase that?

The clock part is available here:

Also, to add, the clock assembly model number by GE is 3AST51T170A1F, and it the part number from Kitchenaid is
C 305003.

Any idea whether I can replace that by a digital clock?
